We started owning Goldens in 1980 with a bitch called Chly­temn­estra Christa, or Christa for short.  She was bought as a pet, but we didn't realise her quality until years later.  We mated her in 1984 to Bryanstown Gaucho.  She then had a litter of seven lovely puppies who ended up scat­tered to all corners - Scotland, America, South Africa - all with friends of ours.  We kept her daughter Fern but unfortunately were not able to breed from her. In 1995 our interests were rekindled when we purchased Rye.
